He established Super Cassettes Industries Limited (T-Series) in 1983 and quickly grew it into a powerhouse. However, it was the iconic soundtrack of "Aashiqui" in 1990 that truly catapulted T-Series to the forefront.

Beyond music, Gulshan Kumar ventured into film production, delivering hits like "Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin" and "Jeena Marna Tere Sang." His legacy, however, is most profoundly felt through T-Series, which continues to dominate the Indian music market, boasting a global reach and a vast distribution network.

He not only championed popular music but also remained deeply connected to his faith, establishing a free meal service for devotees visiting the Vaishno Devi temple.

Despite his tragic demise in 1997, Gulshan Kumar's impact on the entertainment world remains undeniable. His unwavering devotion to music, coupled with his sharp business instincts, paved the way for T-Series to become the powerhouse it is today.
