Vanilla, Strawberry And Chocolate’ Slated For Release On The 16th Of November

Many films have been made eulogising friendship between two living beings- two human beings or a human being and an animal in Bollywood and Hollywood, using animals but in the Marathi film industry one rarely gets to see such movies. Now the audience will get to see a movie based on love for animals. Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate’ is slated for release on the 16th of November.The story revolves round the lives of a girl studying in the Matheran Gram Panchayat School and ‘Vanilla’ who lives in the school compound. Babu Pawar lives in picturesque Matheran with his wife, son Chinu and daughter Teju. He takes tourists for horse rides. The cute dog ‘Vanilla’ joins the family.  While showing the beautiful relationship between ‘Vanilla’ and Teju, the movie also emphasises on the protection of these mute animals.

The uniqueness of ‘Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate’ is that it is the first film to be shot entirely in scenic Matheran. The geographic condition of Matheran and it being in the Sahyadri range of mountains, all kinds of vehicles are prohibited from entering this town, hence it was a big challenge for the entire team. During the shooting, forget vanity vans, the entire team of artistes and technicians had to trek all the way to the shooting locations. The team took up the challenge and successfully completed the shooting.With this movie producer- director Girish Vishwanath and his daughter Janaki Pathak, make their debut in the world of films. Girish has also taken care of the story, screenplay, dialogues, lyrics and direction. The film stars Janaki Pathak, Ravi Kale, Rajashri Nikam, Radhika Deshpande, Kshitij Deshpande and Vinod Jadhav.The Music is by Shantanu Nandan Herlekar and singers are Javed Ali, Upagna Pandya and Rutuja Lad.
