Sohit Vijay Soni Says That He Has Renamed Himself Sohit

Comedian, actor and anchor Sohit Vijay Soni has had a unique journey from his hometown Faridabad to Mumbai which is his karmabhumi now. Interestingly Sohit is the name which is not given by his family. Initially his name was Vijay Soni which he was known for the longest time. But once he started struggling here in Mumbai he decided to change his name to Sohit. He says,”I thought of Sohit as my name as I believed in the name and its positivity. If you break the name, it is So Hit. I wanted to show the world that I also have the talent and the caliber to do something in the industry. In 2007 I have renamed myself Sohit and I personally feel the name Sohit has given me a lot of positivity and good vibes. No one knows me as Vijay any more. It is Sohit Vijay Soni for the last 12 years.” Sohit is currently part of successful shows like Tenali Rama and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai.
