Siddharth Nigam does his own stunts on the sets of Sony SAB’s Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga

Sony SAB’s much awaited show, Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga, has been making news, not just for its grand sets but also its uber-talented cast. The eye-popping stunts, too, are of international standards. Whether somersaulting or jumping off roofs, the young actor Siddharth Nigam has been making news even before the show goes on-air. Siddharth, who is trained in martial arts and gymnastics and plays Aladdin on the show, makes everything look easy as pie, with no dummy required. In fact, Siddharth has even taught his co-actor Avneet Kaur few moves on the sets.

Siddharth undergoes intensive physical training on a daily basis, which is reflected in his effortless portrayal of Kaala Chor during the shoot, where he is often seen flaunting gravity defying stunts. Avneet’s character in the show, Yasmine, is shown to be a pro at self-defense, with excellent swordsmanship.

Pradyumna Kumar, the Action Director for Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga, has been a part of many Hollywood and Bollywood films, apart from television shows, with over 60 films to his credit. He said, “The stunts in Aladdin are of international standards. It is a pleasure working with Siddharth and Avneet, who put in their heart and soul in everything they do. It is fun training Siddharth since he does his stunts all by himself. The actors are perfectionists, and not surprisingly, viewers will soon see their talents come to life on-screen.”

Apart from Aladdin (Siddharth Nigam), Yasmine (Avneet Kaur) and Ammi (Smita Bansal), Omar (Girish Sachdev) is also an important character who is at the crux of Aladdin’s struggles and has a crucial role to play in his future. The show will also bring alive other pivotal characters on-screen, such as Zafar (Amir Dalvi), the power-hungry evil Wazir, who will constantly be at loggerheads with Aladdin, his thrifty Chacha (Badrul Islam) and Chachi (Gulfam Khan) and Yasmine’s parents Sultan Shahnawaz (Gyan Prakash) and Sultana (Yashu Dhiman). Aladdin’s adventures will lead him to the ‘Chirag’, the magical lamp.
