Porus Paves The Way For Chandragupt Maurya; Kartikeya Malviya Roped In For The Lead Role

After roping in Tarun Khanna (Chanakya), Sourabh Raj Jain (Dhana Nand) and Vikas Verma (Seleucus) in Sony Entertainment Television’s magnum opus show Porus, producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary has roped in child artist Kartikeya Malviya who will be seen in and as, ‘Chandragupta Maurya’. The culmination of ‘Porus’ will mark the beginning of a new chapter which will highlight the making of and the rise of the brave king Chandragupt Maurya.  Kartikeya will be seen playing the character of a 15 year old Chandragupta Mourya. He is a born acrobat with a very sharp mind and always find a way out of any trouble. He leads his team and never lets them down. Chanakya is the one to see potential in Chandragupt and takes him under his wings.  Kartikeya is putting a lot of efforts to prepare for his character.

Says Kartikeya, “I have read about Chandragupt Maurya in my school and the moment I got to know that I am getting this role, I started doing research about him and understanding his body of work further. Chandragupt Maurya was a strong warrior and I like that a lot about him. He was swift-footed and was a skilled swordsman. I am going through the characteristics and preparing for this role accordingly.”
