From Comedy King to Theatre Stalwart

Joshi's artistic journey began not on camera, but on the stage. Hailing from a Gujarati Brahmin family steeped in acting, he honed his craft in plays across Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati. His dedication even led him to direct and produce various productions, including a record-breaking run of the Gujarati adaptation of "All the Best."

Sharman's film journey began in 1999 with "Godmother," marking his entry into Bollywood. While initial roles like "Style" and "Shaadi No. 1" showcased his comedic timing, it was "Rang De Basanti" (2006) that brought him national recognition. The same year, he stole hearts with the hilarious "Golmaal," solidifying his place in the comedy genre.

Beyond Raju Rastogi

Joshi continued to impress audiences with his diverse choices. He played pivotal roles in "Life in a... Metro," "3 Idiots," and the heartwarming family drama "Ferrari Ki Sawaari." He even ventured into digital entertainment with the web series "Baarish" (2019).
